Successful client case: how a creative event brought the Municipality of The Hague's strategy to life

A large-scale event where strategy, creativity and team spirit come together

Municipality of The Hague was looking for a way not only to communicate its strategic pillars, but to make them genuinely resonate with employees. In collaboration with Grote Kerk Den Haag and TotaalBeleving, a creative event was organised with experience at its heart. The result: a powerful translation of strategy into connection.

The challenge: making strategy tangible

For many organisations, translating strategic themes into everyday working practice is a challenge. Especially with larger groups of employees, it is important to involve everyone actively.

The objectives of this event were to:

  • make strategic pillars understandable and concrete
  • actively involve employees in the content
  • create connection within a larger group
  • leave a lasting impression

The approach: creativity as a connecting force

Instead of a traditional meeting, an interactive and creative approach was chosen. By inviting employees to work with the strategy themselves, the event created a sense of ownership and engagement.

Music as a powerful tool

One of the highlights was creating an original song together:
“Gemeente Den Haag, daar kom ik graag”

A group of around 20 employees performed the song live for the entire group. This created:

  • energy and enthusiasm in the room
  • a strong shared experience
  • a creative translation of strategic themes

An art project with impact

Alongside the music, participants worked on an art project under the guidance of Lucienne, known from Op zoek naar Rembrandt.

The assignment: translate the strategic pillars into visual art.

This resulted in:

  • four life-size paintings
  • a visual translation of the strategy
  • a tangible final result that stays with people

The setting in the Grote Kerk added even more impact and experience.
